Frankfurt and Amsterdam plans include 20 TB of traffic per month; USA plans are unmetered.
How pricing works
Prices are per month for the billing term selected on the card (3 mo by default). Switch the term and the price and total update. The longer the term, the lower the monthly rate: 3 mo — 5%, 6 mo — 10%, 12 mo — 15%. The order button opens checkout with the selected term.
Recommended specs by game
Starting points for a smooth experience. Large modpacks, big maps and plugins need more RAM — upgrades take a few minutes and keep your world.

Why host your game server on a LikeVPS gaming VPS
⚡
Built for tick rate
Most game servers run their main loop on one core. Ryzen 9 at up to 5.7 GHz keeps TPS stable when the world gets busy.
🛡️
DDoS protection for UDP
L3/L4 flood filtering, including UDP floods that commonly target game servers, is included on every plan.
🔑
Full control
Root or admin access: install SteamCMD, Pterodactyl, Crafty Controller, any mod loader, plugin or anti-cheat.
🎮
Several games, one server
Run a Minecraft server, a Discord bot and a TeamSpeak server side by side — you pay for resources, not slots.
💾
NVMe for fast loading
Worlds, maps and backups load and save quickly, which shortens restarts and chunk generation.
💳
Crypto, no KYC
Pay with BTC, USDT, ETH or a card. Your server is online about 5 minutes after payment.

Frequently asked questions
What is a gaming VPS?
A gaming VPS is a virtual server with reserved CPU and RAM that you use to host multiplayer game servers. Unlike game-panel hosting, you get full root access and can run any game, mod or tool.
Can I play games on the VPS itself?
Not in the usual sense: our gaming VPS plans have no GPU, so they are meant for hosting servers that players connect to. For cloud gaming, rendering or streaming you need a GPU server.
Which location gives my players the lowest ping?
Choose the location closest to most of your players: Germany or the Netherlands for Western and Central Europe, the USA for North America, and our standard VPS in Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic or Bulgaria for Eastern Europe.
How many players can a gaming VPS handle?
It depends on the game and mods. As a rule of thumb, a 4 GB plan runs a vanilla Minecraft server for 10–20 players or a CS2 server for up to 32 players; Rust, Palworld and ARK need 12–24 GB. See the table above.
Is DDoS protection included?
Yes. Every plan includes filtering of L3/L4 floods (SYN, UDP, ICMP) and basic L7 rules at no extra cost.
Can I install mods, plugins and a control panel?
Yes. You have root access, so you can install mod loaders, plugins, anti-cheat tools and panels such as Pterodactyl, Pelican or Crafty Controller.
Linux or Windows for a game server?
Most dedicated servers (Minecraft, CS2, Rust, Valheim, Palworld) run best on Linux. Choose Windows only if your game’s server software requires it.
Game server hosting on a VPS: what to know
A gaming VPS — a VPS for gaming servers rather than for playing — is the most flexible way to host a multiplayer server: you rent CPU, RAM and NVMe storage, then install exactly the game, version and mods you want. Compared with slot-based game hosting it is usually cheaper for growing communities and lets you run several servers on one machine.
Why CPU frequency matters more than core count
Minecraft, Rust, Valheim and many other servers simulate the world on a single main thread. When that thread cannot finish a tick in time, players see rubber-banding and lag — no matter how many cores the server has. That is why our gaming plans use AMD Ryzen 9 9950X and 7950X processors running at up to 5.7 GHz.
How to set up a game server on a VPS
Order a plan and choose Ubuntu or Debian.
Connect over SSH and install SteamCMD or the game’s server package (for Minecraft, a Java runtime and Paper).
Open the game port in the firewall and set the RAM limit in the start script.
Optionally install a web panel such as Pterodactyl to manage several servers and give your admins access.
Choosing a location
Ping depends on distance. For a European community, Frankfurt or Amsterdam give the best average latency; North American players are best served from New York. Regional communities can use our standard VPS in Poland, Romania or Bulgaria.
When to move to a dedicated server
Large networks with many servers, 200+ concurrent players or heavy modded worlds benefit from a dedicated server with all cores and memory to themselves.
